Plug your ears Dave Ramsey. I have violated your rule of credit cards. Yes, I'm guilty of charging my child's school tuition to my airline miles card just to earn free miles. My sister is rolling over as I type because she by far is the best purveyor of airline miles as she is the family globe trotter.
I did pride myself on earning enough free miles by paying my son's tuition with my credit card. I also religiously paid off the bill in full each month and I earned 884 miles every single month. When Christmas rolled around last year, I was able to cash my miles in and get the 32 gig Apple Ipod. Christmas was quite special for my little man and I saved about $300.00.
I only encourage the airline miles card if you can afford to pay your bill in full each month otherwise you become a slave to credit card debt.
i would do just about anything for airline miles.
