Well it is Saturday morning and I am off to shop with coupons in hand. Our first stop today is Staples where I purchase a composition notebook, a pack of #10 envelopes and a package of mechnical pencils from Bic. My total was $9.06 until I whipped out the coupons: $1.00 coupon for the envelopes, $1.00 store coupon for the pencils plus a $1.00 manufacturer's coupon and another $1.00 coupon for the notebook...I walked away only paying $3.21. Yeah! The notebook and pencils will be put up for fall for school.
Next stop on our list is CVS. I love CVS. I have a $5.00 Extra Care Bucks in hand. I need a baby shower gift. CVS is advertising Pampers Swaddlers the 92 count box for $19.99 plus $5.00 in Extra Care Bucks. The light bulb in my head goes off. I run to the register and buy the diapers with my $5.00 ECBs making the diapers $14.99. I get another $5.00 ECBs back which I in turn purchase a package of baby wipes and a baby shower card for FREE!
Next stop, Bath and Body. I have a coupon for a free 2 ounce Men's body wash. No purchase required. I got the Ocean scent for free! I also had a coupon from a previous purchase for $10 off a $30 purchase. I purchased 3 True Blue Spa items (if you buy three items, you get one free). Instead of paying $45.00 less the $10 off, I bought all three items for $21 and some change. Each product at regular price would have been $15.00 each without the benefit of a coupon.
When I arrived home, I ordered 24 personalized mailing labels from a cool company called PearTree. All I had to do was make a selection, customize the info, enter the special code: MOMSDAY10 and now I wait to get another freebie in the mail. I learned about that goodie on Hip2Save.com.
I'm wore out today. Chasing bargains can take it's toll on a girl. Stay tuned for more savings.
Next stop Target, I love Target also. They never hassle me on the coupons. I had to stock the fridge for Mother's Day so I won't itemize but I will share that I saved $23 using coupons for all my grocery items.
